Lean Champions - 5S and Kaizen competition
Lean Bulgaria Ltd. organizes the only competition of its kind in Bulgaria between factories on an annual basis – “Lean Champions – 5S and Kaizen competition”
The main idea is that the competition helps to effectively promote continuous improvement and employee engagement in each plant.
During the past 10 years we had the opportunity to work in many plants of different industries and that, which is characteristic of almost all of them is the inconsistency in the application of Lean principles and tools. This is due to several factors:
- inconsistency on the part of senior management in its support for Lean initiatives
- low employee commitment and lack of motivation to change
- lack of a well-built strategy for the development of the relevant production in the direction of improving the company culture, through Lean transformation
- insufficient knowledge and skills of employees to implement improvements with lasting results
