World Class Manufacturing

World Class Manufacturing is a product created by the Lean Bulgaria team, whose main goal is to improve the efficiency of production enterprises. The basic principles around, which our product is built from the so-called. „LEAN Manufacturing" - tight production, which is a system toolkit, in order to achieve perfection in terms of efficiency, quality and organization. We have adapted these tools for the needs of Bulgarian companies and developed them as modules in "PSK - World Class Manufacturing".

Interest in the modules of World Class Manufacturing Bulgarian companies have been showing since 70 those years. What we call modules are actually well-chosen and adapted practices to the Bulgarian reality, applied in Japanese enterprises to achieve and maintain high production efficiency. A large part of them are de facto a system set of tools, developed by the industrial giant Toyota, from its suppliers, and from its competitors in the automotive sector. For decades, Taiichi Ono, Shigeo Shingo, Seiichi Nakajima and many other "teachers from the East", still little known in our country, apply and refine the systems that transformed Japan from a ruined country into an "economic miracle" with a huge number of prosperous companies. The ideas, which create have long since left the borders of Japan and are widespread in the United States, Western Europe, China, India, Türkiye, etc..

At Lean Bulgaria, we recognize these practices as applicable and useful for modern Bulgarian industry. Their logic, simplicity, precision and a focus on continuous improvement help enterprises to deal with most of the production problems.

The project World Class Manufacturing includes the following modsli:

Lean is a management approach, which directs and limits the expenditure of production resources

JIT

Just in time production.

5 S - Five steps to organizing the workplace

Total productive support (Total Productive maintenance) TRM is a system, created and developed in Japan

Kaizen is a Japanese word, which literally means change for the "better".

The way to get people to do the work is, by encouraging a competitive spirit.

“The fear, which you experience, when you are moving at the edge of your possibilities, expands your limits.

"The most important ingredient in the formula for success is being able to get along with people."

All modules of World Class Manufacturing are interrelated and cannot exist without each other. Depending on the type of production, they are applied to varying degrees, but they must always exist to be sure, that we are on the way to achieving World Class Manufacturing. In addition to Lean principles and tools, you may notice two more modules, which we call Leadership and Communication. Experience so far (already 20 years) shows us, that all of the modules are also applicable in Bulgaria, but for this we need a different view of the way of leadership (leadership) and communication. Adversity has taught us to become experts in the field of Leadership and Communication so that we can prove to everyone, who do not believe, that expressions like : "The Bulgarian mentality does not allow the implementation of Japanese techniques", "This cannot happen with us", "People will not understand and like," etc. are just excuses and excuses not to develop.

Through the project World Class Manufacturing we aim to assist the management in Bulgaria on the way to knowledge and application of The LEAN tools to address performance challenges.
